I own and operate my own grooming business, which I establised in 1991. I have qualified as a Master Groomer here in NZ, (Involves sitting 4 exams with both written and practical examinations) and more recently I have been helping as an examiner for the new groomers coming through.
I groom all breeds of dogs, including Bichons, all varities of Poodles, Schnauzers, just to name a few. I love scissoring, and enjoy a challenge in this area of grooming.
Hope you enjoy having a look at some of the dogs I have groomed, please check back, as I have a lot to update on it!

Meet Luke (the Corgi)
"I come to the Grooming Shop every month, and Cathy washes me in the Hydrobath, then she blowdries me and trims my nails. I love being groomed!! I always lose lots of hair, it flies round the shop, but boy do I feel good afterward!"

Meet Shinaya (the Maltese)
She comes in to be groomed once a month, and I scissor her into what is termed a 'Teddy Bear trim' which is about 1 to 2 inches all over. In the summer months she goes a bit shorter. She has the most gorgeous personality, and isnt afraid of anything! Her human 'Dad' likes a bow in her hair, (I always choose pretty girlie colours) and of course, she always gets a spray of 'doggy perfume' to complete her grooming session.

This is Baxter (the St Bernard),
who comes all the way from Dunedin, which is approx 1 1/2 hours drive from my shop. His size makes it difficult to find a Groomer willing to take on the job.. He is a big Teddy Bear, cant you tell by that big sloppy expression on his face. He quite likes the bath, and just adores the dryer!
