* 26 Sept, at the Asian Breeds Specialty show, Sassy won BCC 'BEST OF BREED' and Best Puppy Of Breed! (Breed entry of 13) At just 9 months of age, she was one of the youngest Shih Tzu shown in the breed, so a very sweet win for this young girl!
*26 Sept at the NZ National Dog Show, after having a litter of beautiful puppies, and a break of approx 18 months from the show ring, Holly, NZ Ch Paddington Xmas Cracker, won BEST BITCH and Challenge! She showed her heart out for me, I was so proud of her! Well done Holly!
* 21 Sept, young Sassy, her first weekend out in Puppy Class, won BCC and 'PUPPY OF GROUP' at Malvern KA Allbreeds Show!
* On the 13th of September 2008, we recieved an email, implying that we not only encourage, but that we have also engaged in the practice of cross breeding Shih Tzu and Lhasa Apsos.
This accusation is totally untrue, we do NOT support crossbreeding in any way.
Furthermore, we have never supplied any dog to any person, that could potentially be used for crossbreeding.
We have taken the content of this email as very serious, and will be seeking advice with the view of imposing an action of slander.

* 9 August 'Rupert' won 'BEST IN SHOW ALLBREEDS' and 'Junior in Show' at the CKA Open show (show 2) from an entry of over 245 dogs. At just 17months of age, this is Ruperts 1st BIS win!
* 9 August 'Rupert' won BEST OF GROUP and Junior Of Group, and went on to win "Special Award In Show" at CKA Open Show (Show 1)
* 28 June, we attended the "Supreme Show Dog Competition" (open to SI Allbreeds Best In Show winners) 'Merlin' (BIS NZ Ch Paddington Pick Pocket) was the only Shih Tzu to qualify for the 2008 competition. He and his handler Dad (John) won the prize for 'Best presented Gentleman/Dog combination' Well done guys!
* 28 June 'Rupert ' (NZ Ch Vindora Midnight Express To Paddington) attended the "Supreme Puppy Contest" (open to SI Allbreeds Puppy in Show winners) He was the only Shih Tzu to qualify for the 2008 competition. 'Rupert' was "Quarter Finalist" in this years Puppy competition, and we were very proud of this outgoing young Shih Tzu!
* 28 June, we had 2 Shih Tzu entered in the 'Supreme Veteran Parade' during the evening of the "Supreme Show Dog Competition" Quite an honor to have our two gorgoeus litter Brother and Sister entered. Multi BIS NZ Grand Ch Paddington Pokit Ful O Posies (Sophie) and BIS RBIS Paddington Ragtime Man (Conan) (This special parade is only open to past 'Best In Show Winners' who have competed in previous SISSD competitions!) At 7 years of age, these two Shih Tzu have certainly made us very proud! But of course, not to be out done, their Lhasa kennel mate, our gorgeous Veteran 'Dougal' Multi BIS NZ Gr Ch Manjuri Gingerbread Man, was also entered in the Veteran Parade. 'Dougal' who is just short of his 13th Birthday, is still in full glorious coat, and Im sure he could get out there in the show ring and give the youngsters a run for their money!

* 6th Feb 08 I would like to lay to rest the confusion as to the true ownership of my Shih Tzu bitch NZ CH Nzinga Southern Belle.
She is very fondly known here at home to us as 'Poppy'
When 'Poppy' first came to us as a puppy, she was in joint ownership with myself and her breeder, and remained so for the duration of her show career.
'Poppy' was regarded as my own dog and we paid all of the associated costs involved in owning a Show Dog and valued pet.
'Poppy' has always lived with us, and continues to do so.
When 'Poppy' was approximately 3 years of age, we purchased her from her breeder, and 'Poppy' was then transfered into my name.
'Poppy' is now 11 years of age, is still living here with us, and still remains in my name.
She is our foundation Bitch, and her 'Best In Show ' winning son and 'Multi Best In Show ' winning daughter, who has recently become New Zealands latest Grand Champion Shih Tzu, are both bred and owned by us here at "Paddington"

What a fantastic weekend we had! Merlin is also "PADDINGTON KENNELS" 3rd HOMEBRED ALLBREEDS BEST IN SHOW WINNER! Needless to say, we are very proud of Merlin, along with all our dogs achievements in the show ring!
* 1st Sept 2007, the beginning of the spring show season, saw our youngster Rupert, win Best Of Breed, then going on to win BEST OF GROUP, also Best Puppy Of Group, and finally topped the day off with "BEST PUPPY IN SHOW"" at Forrester Park Benefit Show! What a fantastic introduction into the Ch show ring, at just 6 1/2 months of age!

*2 July 2005, our youngest baby, Holly (Paddington Xmas Cracker) at just 5 months of age, won Best Of Group, then went on to win "BABY PUPPY IN SHOW" at Waikouaiti KA Open Show (afternoon show) She also won Res Best Of Group to her 'Lhasa' kennel mate, Frankie, in the morning show!! clever baby girl!
* 22 May 2005 (Lucy) Paddington Im Twubble Too, at 6 months and 2 days of age, won Res Best of Group, and Puppy of Group, at Blenheim Allbreeds Ch Show! also winning Best of Breed, beating her kennel mate Conan.. Good girl Lucy!
* 21 May 2005, (Conan) Ch Paddington Ragtime Man, won Best NZ Bred of Group at Blenheim Allbreeds Ch Show.
* 17 April 2005, (Ziggy) Paddington Nutt'n But Twubble, at Nelson Ladies KA show, was titled to New Zealand Champion!!!

*Nov 20 saw two little girls born here at Paddington. Sire; Paddington Nutt'n But Twubble (Ziggy), Dam; Ch Nzinga Free And Easy (Sofee). Both very outgoing and cheeky! Looking forward to watching them as they grow!
*In June 2004 Ch Paddington Ragtime Man (Conan) was awarded Supreme Non Sporting Dog, at the Supreme Show Dog Competition 2004. He was also 3rd equal overall in the Adult Competition (only open to dogs who have won a BEST IN SHOW ALLBREEDS!)
