Hi, my name is Cathy.

I first began my doggy career, by showing my friends Golden Retrievers, back in 1983.

I grew up always wanting an Old English Sheepdog, and my family all chipped in and bought me "Paddington". He wasn't a show dog, but I adored him anyway.

Enjoying the show aspect of dogs, I decided to buy a show OES, so along came Daisy, who I titled to NZ champion.

I then met my husband John, who also had a love of OES. We continued showing together, and bred a litter or two, and of course it was obvious what our kennel name would be ... PADDINGTON.

Many of the dogs we owned, or bred were very successful in the show ring, so please go and have a look at our OES.

We have bred or owned over 29 Champions to date.

Lhasas also featured in my life, as my sister had some. I decided I would love to get one of these fluffy little creatures, so along came Dougal in 1995. He is the love our lives, and very proudly holds the title of "The first Lhasa Apso bred in NZ to become a Grand Champion"

Soon after, our Shih Tzu, Poppy, also joined our family.

We are very proud of our dogs acheivements, and with very careful breeding programmes, we have been able to maintain the type of dogs we like. We have also campaigned and titled dogs for other owners and breeders. Some of these dogs have achieved "In Show awards" during their time with us.

We live in the South Island of New Zealand, where I own and operate my own Dog Grooming Business, and have done since 1991.
I am a New Zealand certified Master Groomer, and in 1993, was awarded Best NZ Groomer, at the Nationwide Groomalong Competition.
I guess you could say I turned my hobby into my job, and thoroughly enjoy it.

Using my creative skills, I decided to have a go at making my own Shih Tzu bows, all the bows I now use are my own, and now have even sold some, so may look at selling some more.
