My journey in the Show Ring began when I started showing my friends Golden Retrievers, back in the early 1980's. What a gorgeous breed to show, I easily got hooked on showing!

I just adored my Old English Sheepdog Paddington, so decided I would like to add another one to my family. After looking around at various Kennels,
I bought a puppy in 1985, whose name was 'Daisy' (NZ Ch Kadesha The Duchess) a lovely girl who enjoyed showing, and I found the grooming very enjoyable and relaxing.

I then met my husband John, who also had a love of OES. We continued showing together, and bred a litter or two, and of course it was easy to choose our kennel name.... "PADDINGTON"
We no longer have any OES, but many of the OES we owned or bred were very successful in the show ring, so please go and have a look at them.

We live in the South Island of New Zealand, where I own and operate my own Dog Grooming Business "The Grooming Shop" in which I establised in 1991.
I guess you could say I turned my hobby into my job, and thoroughly enjoy it.

I am a New Zealand Certified Master Groomer, and in 1993 I competed, and won the prestigous award for
'Best New Zealand Groomer' at the "Nationwide Groomalong Competition"
In recent years, I have helped out by being an examiner for the new Groomers sitting their practical exams.

Lhasa Apsos also featured in my life, as my sister had two of these little dogs. I decided I would love to get one of these delightful little creatures, so along came Dougal in 1995.
He was the love our lives, and very proudly holds the title of "The first Lhasa Apso Bred in NZ to become a Grand Champion" of which we are very proud!

Then in 1997, our Shih Tzu Poppy came to join our doggy family, and so another new journey began...
We are very proud of all our dogs and their acheivements, and with very careful breeding programmes, we have been able to maintain the type of dogs we like.

We have campaigned dogs for other Owners and Breeders, most were very enjoyable, some turned out to be an interesting experience to say the least....
Many of the dogs achieved "Group' & "In Show awards" during their time with us.

I am licenced to Judge Working Dogs and Non Sporting Groups at Championship Show level.

I make most of the bows I use on our Shih Tzu. I have sold quite a few, so if you are interested, please send me an email.
